I am “co-applicant” on a LifeVantage Distributorship with my spouse. What happens if they die?

Different states treat property ownership differently.  “Community Property” states, for instance, hold that all property acquired after marriage is owned equally by both spouses.  “Common Law” states, however, hold that the spouse acquiring the property owns it separately.  So, depending on the property law of the state you live in, or have lived in, you could own 50% separately or 100% jointly.  That is why we ask for legal documents clarifying ownership after death before recognizing it officially.  It is also why each LifeVantage Independent Distributor should talk to an estate attorney to clarify their needs.
